Caribbean Poker Regulations and Hints

[ English ]

Poker has become world famous lately, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years numerous types on the original poker game have been created, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with 21 than long-standing poker, in that the players bet against the dealer instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no bluffing or other kinds of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the dealer saying "No more bets." At that point, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different gamblers receive 5 cards each. After you have observed your hand and the bank’s 1st card, you need to in turn make a call wager or bow out. The call bet’s value is akin to your beginning ante, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Bowing out means that your wager goes instantly to the bank. After the wager comes the conclusion. If the dealer does not have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, including an amount on par with the initial bet. If the house has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The casino pays out cash equal to your initial bet and fixed odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
