No-Limit Texas Holdem Poker- Who is Phil Ivey?
Phil Ivey has been branded as the best poker player in the world by quite a few of the top pros. Phil was born in Riverside, CA and relocated to New Jersey before reaching turning one. His papa taught him penny-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From that point on, he was hooked on poker and wanted to discover anything he possibly could about poker. He routinely told his elders that he was planning on being a professional poker player. Phil began competing seriously after acquiring a fake ID with the name of Jerome. He practiced his abilities at the casinos of Atlantic City. Phil made his mark at the 2000 World Series of Poker where he made two final tables and won his first WSOP bracelet, in a two dollar, five hundred Pot-Limit Omaha event. Phil made a decision to take his game to the next level and headed out west to Sin City. He continues to participate in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the greatest players in the world. Phil credits his success to hard work and an eternal passion for poker. He says that he’s picking up skills every single day and is very abashed about his accomplishments. Phil admits to making errors every single session of poker and constantly strives to get better.
Despite the fact that Ivey has won some large tournaments, he prefers destroying cash games on a regular basis.
